TRIP ITINERARY: ISTAN - RIO VERDE - OJEN


Start from meeting-point, Hotel or residence at 9:30 a.m.(Marbella or Costa del Sol).


Up on the mountains, we stop in a quarry to enjoy the magnificent landscape
over Reservoir, Costa del Sol, Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar and Africa.

We´ll get to know the shepherd, practice "the Sling shot" and milk the goats.


Visit of Istán, typical white village and " the old Public washing place".
Ideal moment to have a typical Andalusian breakfast.

 

A) Winter Season.

Entry to the Natural Park following hidden off roads.
Explanation of the "Pinsapo" and cork tree forest,
the most interesting arboreal specie of the Natural Park.
Indications of the Quejigos oaks, characteristic indigenous trees.
We´ll watch the wild fauna (Eagles, wild boars, Spanish Ibex, etc.)

 
B) Summer Season.

An idyllic stop in the heart of Rio Verde (Green River).
The brave adventurers will cross a hanging bridge.
Interpretation of the rich biodiversity:
The subtropical forest of Laurisilva.
Relaxing bath (weather permitting) in an authentic "ecological paradise", Unforgettable!.
Tasting of juice and fruits, next to natural pools.




Stop and lunch in a typical "venta" with traditional food.
Different menus to choose from with salads, dessert and drinks included.

   

After lunch two options:

a) Visit of Ojén, the beautiful white village, we´ll walk through narrow streets explaining the Moorish history. Visit of the Church and the caves. In the "VINO DE MÁLAGA" MUSEUM we´ll have wine tasting.

  

Opcion B) Nature:

a) Towards the mountains, in Juanar, soft trekking to the mirador (view point) and panoramic views of the Costa del Sol. This tour requires a moderate hike of about 35 minutes and is easily managed by almost everybody. Observation of the wildlife in Cynegetic Reserve (Spanish Ibex, etc.)

Visitors return to the Hotel happy and satisfied
at having found the best day of their holidays.
